Manistique, MI - With a weekend that was as crazy as the politics in Washington, the Widdis Racing team looks to venture on and remember there are always bumps in the road to success.

On Friday evening Bret Widdis would tackle the Norway Speedway monster and the monster would win in this rare occasion. Widdis would miss the coveted A Feature by only a few thousandths of a second. A little bit of bad luck was all it took for the experienced driver to find himself racing in the B Feature for the first time in a quite a few weeks. Even with the misfortune, Widdis was able to take his misfortune and race his heart out for a solid finish.

On Sunday afternoon the number 17 Cavalier was again raced by the car's primary driver Jared Patz. Jared was competing extensively when a freak accident occurred sending the rookie driver out of control ultimately directly in front of oncoming traffic. Thankfully everyone involved was fine, but the newest addition to the Widdis Racing garage will need a little work this following week.

With all the troubles the Widdis Racing team has recently been faced with it is definitely evident that this tiny bump in the road will not stop the team's persistence of excellence. All of us from WiddisRacing.com would like to congratulate Bret on his unbelievable 2004 summer and also Jared for all of his great driving. Better days are ahead for sure!
