Bret Widdis, driver of
the number 15, recently saw checkers as he won in true Widdis
fashion. Bret was the fast qualifier with a time of 19.07,
beating 17 other race teams. As if this feat wasn’t enough,
Bret would start in the rear of the field in the feature race
and quickly start weaving, dodging, and darting through the
heavy rush hour traffic at Marshfield Super Speedway located
in Marshfield, Wisconsin. After only a few laps Bret took the
lead entering turn one and would never look back. With two
laps to go the caution flag came out and quickly shortened up
his 5 second lead. On the restart another caution flew causing
the cars to once again line up for the infamous green, white,
checkered. Bret was able to hold on and win by only a half car
length. We here at WiddisRacing.com are all extremely excited
and would like to congratulate Bret on his excellent
weekend!
