Norway, MI - The Widdis Racing team had one more terrific Friday night at Norway Speedway.

Bret Widdis would superbly qualify his 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass and continue the streak in the first heat race. Bret ran in the top 5 most of the race finally crossing the stripe in 3rd position. Alan Yelle and Scott Degnan put on a great show for the fans as they raced door panel to door panel for virtually the entire race. Going into turn 3 Degnan would spin allowing Yelle to ride his #93 Ford Thunderbird into victory lane while Widdis would follow moving from 4th to finish 3rd. Yelle commented later on his good fortune, "Scott had been doing the same thing as I, so I drove the car 25 feet more into the turn and Scott tried to also." With a laugh he then said, "It didn't work out for him."

WiddisRacing.com salutes Alan on his heat race victory. We are just like any other true race fan. We love to see veterans still dominate in the sport. Congratulations, Alan!

Widdis would further his superb day with a great run in the feature race, also!
