The Dehanke Racing Team just keeps quickly jumping that ladder of success each week!

In only his second time behind the wheel of a stock car, Dan Dehanke qualified his number 8 Monte Carlo terrifically! He even ran so well in the feature race he finished on the lead lap! Dan deserves two big thumbs up for all his hard work and persistence. We here at WiddisRacing.com salute Dan on all his efforts this year.

Everyone sets goals right? Some people set goals to lose weight, while others set goals to gain weight. I have recently set a goal to slow down and enjoy the summer! In reality, most goals never get reached due to lack of ambition or many other reasons. Jeff Dehanke of the Dehanke Racing team had set a goal early in the season to be able to qualify his number 23 Buick Regal in the 17 second range at Thunder Valley Raceway. He came very close many times during the season hitting an 18.14 and 18.12 one week. This past weekend, though, one goal was absolutely reached and it was reached in fashion! Dehanke ran his first qualifying lap at a 17.95 and would get even better for his second lap turning a 17.79! In only a few short weeks Jeff has ALREADY been able to qualify his machine in the 17 second range! As your humble correspondent has stated earlier, Jeff Dehanke may be a rookie in the record books, but in our eyes he is anything BUT a rookie! A huge congratulations to Jeff and the entire Dehanke Racing team! We here at WiddisRacing.com support the Dehanke family in all endeavors!

If you have any questions or comments on the Dehanke's spectacular weekend you can forward your e-mails to Jeff at jdehanke@uplogon.com
